Well, since Forgotten Pathways deviates considerably from the more classic harem VN approach, I’d like to give you a heads up on some important points.

• Forgotten Pathways is an adult story I wrote in a linear format. I am gradually adapting it to the VN style, including dialogue and multiple pathways.
• The MC won’t be your typical badass guy. He’ll have moments of triumph, but there will be tough times too. He won’t always be in control of everything.
• While a considerable part of the story involves the MC forming relationships with the LIs, that’s not everything. He has a main mission within the context he’s in, and decisions won’t only impact winning over the LIs. There will be choices affecting other aspects of the story.
• The MC undergoes a transformation and changes his stance as he gains more understanding of the world he’s in.
• There are nude images of women who aren’t LIs.
• The story isn’t just about happy moments. Feelings like injustice and helplessness are part of the game, though they’re temporary.
• The VN features 18 LIs, quite a high number. Each has their own context, personality, and personal challenges. They aren’t typical harem LIs (18 cute and virgin girls).
• The girls don’t necessarily fit classic stereotypes (e.g., cute and naive/nerdy and shy).
• Some of the girls undergo personal transformations. They aren’t all “ready.”
• One girl’s path will never overshadow another’s.
• You will never be forced to choose just one.
• About Tracy – I messed up with one of the characters, Tracy. Originally, she was a prostitute, and this info wasn’t presented to the MC upfront. I changed it in v0.2.2 to a stripper. If you still don’t want to be involved with her, just decline in the bathtub.
• Regarding virginity, you’ll meet:
• 7 Virgin girls
• 8 Girls who aren’t virgins, but don’t hook up with anyone else after having the first intimate contact with the MC
• 3 who aren’t virgins but lost their virginity to him and only had sex with him

If any of these points bother you because you prefer traditional harem VNs, you might end up wasting time playing Forgotten Pathways, but I appreciate your interest in the game.

Finally, I want to say that I know Forgotten Pathways doesn’t have much commercial appeal due to these differences, and I also know it displeases a good portion of harem fans. But keep in mind that I do it because I enjoy it, this isn’t my job. If I decided to completely change the approach, I’d run the risk of making this project just another one abandoned out there. I like the creative process precisely for the peculiarities the story has.
